Central Texas is a region in the U.S. state of Texas surrounding Austin and roughly bordered by San Saba to Bryan and San Marcos to Hillsboro. Central Texans live here with an abundance of natural beauty, including lush forests, coastal plains, and piney woods on rocky ridges along rivers such as the Colorado River.
So where exactly is "Central Texas"? It's due north from Del Rio on I-35; Laredo, and Eagle Pass if you prefer going south on I-35. You can go west until you get to Junction or Brady but be prepared for a long drive. Head east until you get to Houston, and that's about as far as you can go before you run into East Texas. Remember, it's big.
